When Momma Ain't Happy...
Are you able to enjoy it all?
The vibrantly colored leaves, the crisper weather, the festivals, the hayrides, the pumpkins - oh, the pumpkins - they’re everywhere and in everything - lol!!
It’s a great time of year - but if your health isn’t where you want it to be, you might be missing out on some of the beauty and magic that currently surrounds you.
And to me, that’s just not okay - or at the very least, not ideal.
I talk to so many women who struggle with their health.
Are you this woman?
You put on a brave face and push yourself through your day-to-day, but behind the scenes, you’re struggling with feeling tired, exhausted, overwhelmed, overweight, foggy, moody, unsure or even scared about what might be going on with your health or your body.
It’s not that you don’t try to find answers - you do!
It’s just that there is SO much information out there and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and confused.
Or you do go to your doctor, and all your lab work is “normal” - you may even be offered an antidepressant.
So you do your best to muddle through, you tolerate feeling “blah”, “meh”, or worse, and you keep on keepin’ on.
The problem here is that when it comes right down to it, you don’t feel great.
You don’t even feel good.
And while you may not share how you REALLY feel with friends, family, or those closest to you, it ends up spilling over into other areas of your life.
You snap at your kids.
Your relationship with your partner suffers - you just don’t feel as connected, which could in part be related to the fact that your libido seems to have taken a long-term vacation.
You struggle to keep your “edge” at work. You feel overwhelmed and behind.
You feel heavy in your body and when you really tune in to your self-talk, it’s pretty harsh.
Not to mention the actual symptoms you’re dealing with.
Here’s the thing - when your health isn’t good, when you don’t feel good in your body, when you’re struggling, even just a little bit, everything else in your life is affected.
When you don’t feel good, it’s really hard to feel happy.
And when you’re not happy, that impacts everyone around you - your partner, your kids, your friends, your family, the checkout guy at the grocery store.
When Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.
Doesn’t matter if you have a fake smile planted on your face - they can tell.
And more importantly, so can you.
The truth is, for a time in my own life, I was this woman.
I felt tired, overwhelmed, and unhappy, and I didn’t like how I was showing up in my life as a result.
I didn’t share how I really felt with those around me - after all, my career was in health, so I told myself that I should be able to figure it out.
So I suffered in silence until I made a decision.
I decided that I was willing to do what it took to feel energized, vibrant, to feel amazing in my body, to feel fully alive and overflowing with joy and appreciation and love.
And I took the steps I needed to take to change it.
It wasn’t always comfortable and it wasn’t always easy - it was often a stretch and often required me to be willing to invest in myself, whether that was in the form of time, focus, attention, or money.
And it required that I was willing to ask for and allow myself to be supported along the way.
I have seen and experienced for myself the tremendous difference it makes when we are truly in love with our bodies and looking and feeling vibrantly healthy.
And I want that for you, too.
In fact, I take a stand for women to do what it takes to look and feel amazing - it is my life’s work, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to support women (and a few cool men :-) in creating and experiencing vibrant health for themselves.
So please know that today I am taking a stand for you and your vibrant health.
Because I know you’re worth it.
To Your Best Health,
Dr. Kendall Ritz
